International Climate Coordination

Regional Conversations

In collaboration with Dr. Natalie Baloy and Erica Olson and with other advisors I am engaging in the co-design and facilitation of ongoing learning and sharing conversations - called the Salish Sea Cafe - for socio-scientific governance and management innovations among educators, scientists, government leaders, Tribal partners, and others around learning and ecological activity within the transboundary region of the Salish Sea, West Coast of Canada and the United States. Held every few months virtually beginning in the Fall of 2020 and ongoing.

This work is part of longer conversations across the Washington, British Columbia, and Tribal Nations contexts over the past few years around place-based climate justice learning and action efforts which has involved folks connected to the Western Washington University's Salish Sea Institute, and the University of Victoria's Living Lab.
